# Gladney Pennsylvania Birth Mother's Day Celebration

A first for Gladney in Pittsburgh -- Birth Mothers and Expectant Mothers gathered to celebrate Birth Mother's Day (appropriately, the day before Mother's Day) on May 9, 2015 at Frescos in Wexford, PA.   The Pittsburgh staff honored these brave women for choosing life and being selfless in making the perfect life-plan for their children.  It was wonderful to hear from a birth mother who now attends her 15 year old son's sporting events, a birth mother who recently made her second annual visit to spend time with her son and his [adoptive family](http://pregnancyhotline.org/find-a-family) in Texas, a birth mother who is navigating a new placement with relatives, and a young expectant mother who is just getting ready to select a family for her child. 

The threads weave in and out of all of our lives - loves and losses - but especially in the lives of these extraordinary women.  We feel such admiration for them.  The determination and growth they each demonstrate is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

We are hoping to make this an annual event and include even more of our special Pittsburgh Moms!
